WWE’13 ROSTER REVEAL! *UPDATED WITH ROSTER TRAILER*
WWE’13 ROSTER REVEAL!
With WWE’13 just over three months away, the buzz is starting to slowly build up. Over the years, I’ve pretty much purchased almost every WWF/WWE game, but over the last few years, I have felt that the franchise is getting a little stale. So last year, ‘THQ’ took away the ‘Smackdown vs Raw’ name and replaced it with WWE’12. Other then rebranding the franchise, I felt that WWE’12 was the same game in a different box. I liked the gameplay mechanics (so I’m hoping they keep the same formula for WWE’13) and the universe mode (which added more life to the game), but I felt the roster was quite outdated (yes I know it’s very difficult to keep updated, with the roster changing so often, but it would have been nice to see more updates via DLC) and the three story modes were very stale and yep you’ve guessed it…outdated (especially the ‘Sheamus’ heal story).
Here is the new ‘Official’ Roster Trailer!:
So here comes WWE’13 and this time it comes with a lot of ‘Attitude’, literally. The heavy selling point to WWE’13 is that it includes ‘Attitude Era’ story’ mode, which is music to my ears. I have been a WWF/WWE fan since ‘Summerslam’88’ (and I will be watching ‘Summerslam’ 25th Anniversary tonight on PPV with friends and MyXboxLive colleague ‘Akradon’). Anyway, going back to the ‘Attitude era’, this for me was the most revolutionary era in WWE history, with ‘Stone Cold Steve Austins’ iconic feud with Chairman ‘Vince McMahon’, ‘The Corporate Ministry’, ‘The Undertaker’ throwing ‘Mankind’ off from the top of the Cell, the birth of ‘D-Generation X’, the rise of ‘The People’s eyebrow’, I could literally go on forever as there were so many iconic moments and ‘Superstars’.
So looking through the ‘Attitude Era’ roster, it brings back so many fond memories and for the first time in years, I am genuinely overly excited to play WWE’13 and even looking at the ‘Modern Roster’, I cannot remember a WWE game looking so up to date (with a few minor exceptions).
WWE’13 will be released in North America on October 30th, November 1st in Australia and the 2nd across Europe. In the mean time, feast your eyes on the roster list below and let us know in the comments section that you are most looking forward to grappling with.
