Have you ever felt the need to just break something? Iron Galaxy is here to help you sate your destructive urges with Wreckateer coming to the Summer of Arcade lineup.

Here we have what looks to be a great use of the Kinect with a creative take on the castle wrecker sub genre of physics games. From what we saw in the E3 demo, Kinect seems very responsive and intuitive as to the player’s intentions and will surely add to the replayability and life of the game. It also seems that avatar usage or in-game character design will be an option. While I have no feelings for or against using my LIVE avatar in a game, this may add another layer of appeal to some players.

Siege will be laid to castles in a variety of forms from the basic rock and building up to better means of destruction like the speed, explosive, and flying shots (to name a few). The latter of these is shot then controlled in the air like a radio controlled plane by the player using their arms like wings to fly it into the perfect location for maximum damage and points.

Varied castle designs with different strengths, weaknesses, and defensive terrain across 60 levels will challenge you to make every launch count. Terrain could pose as interesting of challenges as the castle itself with the possibility of broken line of sight from the player’s location to the castle as well as providing an unbreakable obstacle to shoot over. Iron Galaxy keeps things fresh in Wreckateer by giving a variety of settings across a world map that must be conquered.

Keep an eye on this one as it’s quick and easy single and multi-player modes provide a fun and addictive experience.
