NeoGaf users have been fine-combing the Titanfall beta for new details on the full release, and they haven’t disappointed. In fact, there has been a splurge of delightfully detailed information that you absolutely have to check out. Keep in mind that this is sourced from the beta, which is highly liable to change to any degree.

First up, Perks:

If you did not play the Titanfall beta, you may not be aware that the perk system made popular in Call of Duty sees a substantial overhaul. Titanfall uses a new combination of Burn Cards and Kits. The burn cards unlock beginning at level seven and you can equip a max of three cards at once. The second and third slots are unlocked at levels nine and eleven while you earn new cards after each match. These last only for one life, not one match. So, if you get spawn killed that ability goes bye bye.

Kits, which are special abilities, are used by both pilots and titans and each player has two slots to fill. These last as long as you have then equipped. Thanks to the Neogaf users who datamined the beta, we now have a list of all the kits for both pilots and titans.

Fast Autoloader
This advanced autoload mechanism replenishes your Titan Ordnance faster, making your Titan’s Ordnance available more frequently.

Auto Eject
The Auto-Eject system automatically ejects you as soon as your Titan is doomed. You will also cloak briefly on ejection, whether or not you have the Cloak ability as a Pilot.

Dead Man’s Trigger
The Dead Man’s Trigger auto-detonates all of your planted explosives when you are killed.

The ‘Icepick’ is a modified Data Knife that increases the speed with which you can hack Spectres and turret control panels.

Power Cell
The Power Cell accelerates the recharging of your Pilot’s Tactical Ability.

Guardian Chip
This upgraded targeting system allows your Auto-Titan to engage enemies with much greater accuracy.

Run N Gun Kit
The Run N Gun Kit allows you to fire small arms such as pistols and SMGs while sprinting.

Explosives Pack
The Explosives Pack increases your Ordnance ammo capacity as a Pilot.

Quick Reload Kit
The Quick Reload Kit accelerates the reload speeds of all your Pilot weapons.

Stealth Kit
The Stealth Kit makes your footsteps silent, and makes your jump kit exhaust nearly invisible.

Enhanced Parkour Kit
The Enhanced Parkour Kit allows you to wallrun and wallhang for increased periods of time.

Warpfall Transmitter
The Warpfall Transmitter accelerates your Titanfall substantially, using short-range jump technology.

Dome-Shield Battery
This piece of kit extends the duration of your Titan’s Dome-Shield after Titanfall.

Minion Detector
The Minion Detector displays both friendly and enemy Grunts and Spectres on your minimap at all times.

Tactical Reactor
This kit makes your Titan’s Tactical Ability recharge faster. The Tactical Abilities are Vortex Shield, Electric Smoke, and Particle Wall.

Regen Booster
Your Titan is able to regenerate its bodyshield at a faster rate than normal.

Dash Quickcharger
Your Titan’s dash system recharges at a faster rate, allowing you to dash more frequently.

Nuclear Ejection
After you eject, your Titan briefly charges and then detonates its nuclear core, dealing massive amounts of damage to all nearby enemies.

Big Punch
Your Titan’s melee attack power is significantly increased, inflicting greater damage than normal, and knocking enemies back further.

Core Extender
The Core Extender allows any Titan’s Core Ability to remain active for an extended period of time.

Core Accelerator
The Core Accelerator makes your Titan’s Core Ability charge more quickly.

Your Titan will lose health at a slower rate when doomed, allowing you to fight longer before having to abandon the Titan.

The game isnt setting standards for FPS…….
its building on the team’s other works. And what its doing is continuing a tradition of twich based, non-tactical FPS’

not bashing the game. but it looks like it might be over-hyped. i also think customers havent learned their lessons at all.
who would pre-order these games without having at least all the information on how the game can be played.

but lets have some rational talk, please. you cant say its redefining FPS genre.

the titans are simply vehicles you can get in and out of. it includes cool animations doing it. something other shooters should have as well. the parkour and jet packs arent exactly new either.

its just flashy packaged fun. not to detract from all the hard work that went into this title.

If all you have to point out is being able to get into a titan , you haven’t played the beta. Sure some people are overhyping the game but personally had just as much fun being a pilot with all the wall running and doublejumping. Poor players are actually easy to kill as a pilot while they are in titans……. It is redifining FPS games, aspects never put into a game are being put in. Same team, different mechanics = redefine

you obviously haven’t played the beta sorry to hear that. a twitch game fps which most people play. twitch shooters is what made games fun and it will always be like that in my opinion. the easier the game is to play the more attractions it will bring to the casual gamer that dont look at game news like us. even most hardcore gamers are saying a lot of positive feedback about the game and i can see why because i played the beta. redefined? yes…. of coarse…. you name one fps game that has titans, parkour ,and, jet packs all in one game and addition to that run clean and smooth not so clunky like for example battlefield mechanics feels like you got a weights on your character making them feel clunky which is ok but to the casual gamer that dont have all the time in the world to just sit down an play games all day to learn strategies its not so fun cuz they just simply dont have the time to do so. redefine means different and coming respwan created a different game compared to cod which is ran down to the ground now titanfall is a different approach.

I think the main thing with Titanfall is that it bridges the gap into sci-fi shooters with a plausible feel. It creates a universe without a campaign and after only a few games the game’s mechanics feel like home. I for one would like to praise Titanfall for one particular thing above all else….balance.
    1) The bots are ideal for newcomers to take out while the effort still helps the team.
    2) Camping is pointless in this game.
    3) Titans make you feel powerful, but not overpowered where you cannot be taken down.

I haven’t had thus much fun with a FPS sine Modern Warfare 1. Also, the whole thing with the Burncards is great, because it extends the idea of a perk system. So for all those people who are trying to downplay the game, I think you’re all insane and must be bored as hell with your own life to the point where nothing excites you regardless.

Are these the only weapons in the game? I was hoping for more…

Yeah the fast mobile gameplay in titanfall reminds me of those old arena shooters which is why I think I am drawn to it so much. The game is just fun and that’s the only reward I need take this meta game crap somewhere else its a sad day when just having fun shooting your friends for no other reason than because its fun is seen as a bad thing in a video games.
