Dead or Alive 5 is nearly amongst us and today ‘Team Ninja’ have made two exciting announcements regarding one of their flagship games in ‘Dead or Alive 5’. Here it is revealed that the ‘DOA’ favourite ‘Tag Mode’ will return to the game and I imagine it would be similar to the modes that are included in ‘Marvel vs Capcom 3’ and ‘Tekken Tag’. Its always interesting to see ‘Team Ninja’s’ take on the Tag mode, so get ready for double the trouble and double the damage as players must be on their constant guide for when their opponents switch fighters at a fast and frantic pace.
Not only that, but a fan favorite stage makes a return in ‘Dead or Alive 5’, with the deadly stage known as the ‘Fighting Entertainment!’ Located in a hostile crowd of fans, fighters will find them surrounded by an electric barrier with a seriously high voltage! Now not only do the fighters have to be on guard from constant attacks from their opponents, but now they have the deadly electric barrier to contend with! One zap of the fence, will leave the unlucky fight exposed to vicious combos from their opponents attacks.
To add to all this spice, two big name characters are set to make their return in the latest installment to the Dead or Alive series. Hot vixen Tina makes her comeback for Dead or Alive 5: Tina has been a veteran fighter since the very first ‘Dead or Alive’ all the way back in 1996. Tina is the daughter of legendary wrestler ‘Bass’, she was trained by her father at a very young age and has an impressive set of moves in the ‘squared circle’, being able to take down her opponents with considerable ease. But after outgrowing the wrestling business, Tina makes it her sole goal to become the champion of the prestigious ‘Dead or Alive Tournament’.
And if that wasn’t enough to tickle your ‘Dead or Alive 5’ taste buds ‘Jeet Kune Do’ master ‘Jann Lee’ (also known as ‘A Scorching Soul’) also makes his return for Dead or Alive 5. Jann Lee is a self taught masker of ‘Jeen Kune Do’ after becoming addicted to watching martial arts movies from when he was a young orphan. He possesses deadly fast paced feet and powerful jabs that can take down his opponents in a blink of an eye. Jann Lee is very cocky and confident and can get under his opponents skin, but as they say ‘It’s not cocky if you can back it up’ and Jann can certainly do that.
Dead or Alive 5 will also feature an improved ‘Training Mode’, which gives the player more control than ever before with its features. Players will now be able to adjust an opponent’s AI in the setting screen, you will also be able to input recording, characters recovery time from staggers and so much more. The player will be able to practice and improve their skills for any Dead or Alive scenario that they have thrown at them. There will also be optional missions during the epic ‘Story mode battles’ to teach you every basic to every advanced moves and techniques possible.
Dead or Alive 5 will be hitting the Xbox 360 console in North America on September 25th and across Europe on the 28th, so get ready to say “I am a fighter!”.
