So yesterday I posted about the Facebook status update on The Elder Scrolls game page. This status update gave us a small heads up on some DLC information for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

What we recieved at the moment is not quite what we were hoping for. At the moment, what has been released is an image (enlarged below) of the Dragonborn looking almost Witcher style with red glowing eyes. At the bottom of the image it has the title “Dawnguard” – it’s safe to assume that this is what the new DLC will be called when it is released.

The only information beyond the image itself, at this point, also appeared today on Bethblog, stating only: “Coming this Summer, more Details at E3.”  For now, there is nothing more specific about a release date and no information about content or price.  Rumors of possible content have circulated recently due to some uncovered files that mention Snow Elves, Vampires, and more… but there is no indication yet that any such content will be part of the Dawnguard DLC.

So, a little bit disappointed with what we have been given, but at least DLC is on the way! Summer is nearly here, so hopefully some more information will make its way out soon!  We’ll be watching E3 for whatever turns up there, too!

What do you think of the image? Let me know below!
