Get ready to pit Nemesis against Wolverine, as Marvel Vs. Capcom Origins comes to XBLA

Capcom announced recently that Marvel Vs. Capcom Origins, a mash-up of two highly popular arcade games spawned deep in the 90’s, Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash Of Superheroes. The latest installment of this super-powered smash-em-up is set for a mid-September release on Xbox Live Arcade, as well as PSN.

It’s offering both one-on-one gameplay reminiscent of Marvel Super Heroes, along with it’s signature Infinity Gem system, combined with the hectic two-on-two carnage lifted straight from the original Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash Of Superheroes, complete with tag system and assists, as well as the wild “Duo Team Attack”. On top of all this nostalgia-ridden insanity, MVCO will also feature GGPO-enhanced online play, including 8-player lobbies with an additional spectator mode, full HD graphical upgrades, highly dynamic challenges and the chance to save replays.
