This week ‘Kojima Productions’ claimed that an announcement was to be made at their ‘Metal Gear Solid 25th Anniversary Event’ that would “Shake” the industry. Well following the ‘25th Anniversary Event’, ‘Kojima Productions’ certainly had some big news with not only announcing a new game called ‘Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes’, but also that a ‘Metal Gear Solid movie’ would be made by the producer of ‘X – Men’ and ‘Spiderman’, ‘Avi Arad’.

Not a great deal is known of ‘Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes’ as of yet, but what we do know is that a real time demo running on the new ‘Fox Engine’ was shown to the lucky audience members at the 25th Anniversary showing. ‘MGS: Ground Zeroes’ will be an ‘Open World’ game (which is an interesting first for the franchise), it will centre on ‘Solid Snakes’ mentor’ ‘Big Boss’ (Naked Snake) and it will be set before ‘Shadow Moses’. It is also believed that the demo shown was running from a top end, current gen PC, so when footage is shown at a later date, I can’t wait to see how it fairs running on the Xbox 360 console.
‘Hideo Kojima’ is expected to speak at ‘Eurogamer Expo’ next month, so expect further details to be revealed.
