Minecraft continues to soar on XBLA, selling over a million copies by the fifth day following its launch on May 9th. The game has been setting new records on Xbox, profit-turning in the first hour and outselling the previous XBLA sales record within a mere 24 hours. Now, it has gone Platinum in under a week.

In addition, Microsoft announced that, at present:  More than 5.2 million total hours have been played and 4 million total multiplayer sessions have been logged, contributing to more than 2.4 million multiplayer hours.
