Mat Catz, developer of popular headsets and controllers for the Xbox 360 have announced that they are moving from their current periphery market space to developing full games for the console. In a press release Mad Catz announced that they can now “submit games to be published on the Xbox 360.” The company haven’t however announced any projects that they currently may be embarked on, but expect their games to have links to their current product line.

Chief Executive Officer of Mat Catz Interactive Inc Darren Richardson said that “The execution of the Xbox 360 Publisher License Agreement marks an important milestone as we pursue our longer term goal of expanding our participation in developing, publishing and distributing games.”

So what do we think you can expect?

1. Brilliant soundtracks, taking surround sound to another level. And how about a ‘speak to control’ system incorporated into the single player game.
2. New buttons for controllers, creating even better ergonomics?
3. A whole different way of gaming? New controllers maybe, but when equipment companies go into development it can only mean a new direct for games.

When projects are released, we’ll be sure to let you know.
