Hitman Announcement ruined?

Yesterday I posted about an incoming Major Hitman announcement due on the 10th May, but it seems like that announcement may have been spoiled by an advertisement in the latest Game Informer. Turns out the announcement maybe a spin off game called ‘Sniper Challenge’.

The only way to have access to the Sniper Challenge is to pre-order Hitman: Absolution. When you have done this, you should receive a code that will unlock the spin off game. Once you are in the game you will be taking part in a replayable sniper mission with the main goal is to get the highest in the leader board, not only that, playing the spin off will also net you some prizes.

The details of what the prizes are haven’t been announced yet (but then again, nor has this spin off) the advert does mention access to an exclusive rifle with upgrades. It’s safe to say that the rifle will be for Hitman Absolution and not just the Sniper Challenge. We can expect more details when the official announcement is on Thursday 10th May.
