As a community, it doesn’t take much for gamers for pull together to help someone in a time of need. This philosophy of “All for one and one for all” lends itself to many walks of life, and has now been utilized to raise money for charitable foundations.

Ever heard of “The Child’s Play Charity”? They work tirelessly to channel the goodwill of the gaming community into providing video games and game systems to sick children in hospitals. And how better to garner the attention of gamers than with games?

The Humble Bundle combines a selection of games for purchase, but get this, you pay what you want as a donation to redeem them. This year is the 5th Humble Bundle, and features the classic Psychonauts, the atmospheric Limbo, the terrifying Amnesia and, as a little incentive, Bastion if you pay over the average donation.

There is literally no constraints on the price, whether you can only afford $2, or, like Markus Persson from Mojang, you can afford to donate $6500. Every little helps though, and with 8 days left to donate, maybe you can add to the already momentous total of $3,138,401.79

Quite simply, I'm 18, I'm a huge metalhead (but I dont judge others for their music tastes), I'm a zombie "fan", if you can be a fan of the marauding undead. I've been a huge gamer all my life, and I've managed to get my 4 year old sister to follow in my footsteps (She plays a mean round of Crash Nitro Kart)
