FFA Gunplay: Info & Why you should try it.
Fast, Furious and Fun; I just can’t get enough of FFA Gunplay. To those that haven’t played or heard of the latest game mode added to the Community Playlist on Modern Warfare 3 you’re missing out. With short intermissions (around 15 seconds), games which can last anything between 3 and 10 minutes, and a pace that even the most experienced players suffer with FFA Gunplay excels in bringing enjoyment to the masses.
The mode has plugged a major flaw in the COD game experience, previous playing fields are removed; placing each and every player on at a level starting position each round; no more to games where experienced players who have prestiged multiple times take ultimate control with their superior weapon armoury. The enjoyment comes as everyone, even the worst players, have a chance at getting multiple kills.
During my first attempts to get used to the game I both saw the scene before me as exhilarating and one of anarchy. This game mode requires your up-most whit, superior reactions and judgement of the entire game map throughout your entire time on any of the three game types: All or Nothing, One in the Chamber, and Gun Game. Any loss of concentration, lack of judgement or a slow reaction to your surroundings 99% of the time results in your demise.
A little on the three game types:
A new variation of Free for All, All or Nothing was inspired directly from the community. All players spawn with the USP .45 handgun with no ammo and a Throwing Knife. The loadout includes the Hardline perk and Specialist strike package with Scavenger in the first slot. Get kills to unlock Scavenger and supply your pistol with ammo.
The game is played on one of three maps: Dome, Hardhat and Mission. This small map experience provides quick games of ultimate adrenaline fuelled action.
Equipped with the P99 and Tactical Knife, each player starts off with one bullet, earning another for every kill. Elimination occurs after three deaths, with the final three players appearing on the mini-map to keep the action rolling.
As a new feature, eliminated players can chase survivors in spectator mode and back a winner of their choosing. You’re awarded 150 XP for each of the chosen player’s subsequent kills.
Elimination is a key feature to this game, making many players wary and often leads to camping towards the end of the game; fortunately that’s why the mini-map was introduced. Be sure to have a plan B when your first shot fails. This again is usually played on the smaller maps of: Dome, Hardhat and Mission.
Gun game provides two seperate game modes integrated into one for FFA Gunplay: Straight 18 and 3×6 Guns.
Gun Game Variation #1
Classic Gun Game at its finest. Cycle through an 18-gun progression including two sniper rifles to highlight the best marksman in each match.
Gun Game Variation #2
Cycle through six guns three times (no sniper rifles). Learn the 6-gun progression to best pace yourself through each wave.
Unlike AoN and OIC, Gun Game provides longer games on much larger maps; the mode is in the majority played on: Resistance, Bootleg, Village and Fallen.
