Dragon Ball Z: Coming to Kinect

The latest incarnation of many peoples favourite fighting series Dragon Ball Z will be released to Xbox Kinect this October. Its publisher NAMCO BANDAI today annnounced the release of the title which will provide all the classic game modes as well as providing the player with an “unprecedented sense of immersion” .

Players will be able to learn over one-hundred fighting moves including the legendary Kamehameha with their fists, creating a gaming environment unparalleled in the games history. The Kinect provide players with an opportunity to learn such moves without the limitations of a controller.

“There’s going to be no better feeling in the world for fans of the Dragon Ball Zseries than standing in front of their screens and unleashing their own fists and raging blasts upon enemies with this game,” said Carlson Choi, Vice President of Marketing, NAMCO BANDAI Games America.  “The Kinect sensor has truly enabled the development team to finally realize the dreams of millions of fans of both the classic games and the timeless original anime.  This game will truly represent the next generation of interactive entertainment in the Dragon Ball Z universe.”

Players will also for the first time be able to enable the ‘first person’ view, taking your vision from within the characters head. Two differing game modes will also be developed, ‘Story Mode’ and ‘Story Attack’; each with their own unique twist on the techniques needed to beat your opponents and achieve the highest score possible.

The Kinect also provides the platform for another game add-on. QR codes can be held up to the Kinect sensor, enabling players in the real world to interact and recieve in game perks such as: Power-ups and Characters.
