We all remember the big news about an internet explorer heading towards the xbox for the next big update. Will it’s coming up to that time again, the time were they call upon the public to help test out the dashboard and report any bugs. Yes, BETA time is upon us!

This time however, people involved in the BETA will be called upon to give feedback on the new dashboard in order to help fine-tune it before the official release. As usual, numbers of participants in the BETA are limited (according to Major Nelsons Blog and will have to agree to the terms and agreements for the BETA. Another new thing is that there will be a brief 5 minute survey at the end of the BETA for more feedback.

If you managed to get in the BETA (I just have!) then your console will automatically update to the BETA when it goes live, giving you access to the brand new Internet Explorer, personalized dashboard recommendations and enhanced category search and discovery features. Unlike some previous BETAs, your console should still be fully functional with other consoles that aren’t in the BETA, so no problems about playing with your friends who aren’t in the program.

So what are you waiting for, click here and start applying for that BETA!

Did you get the product key from the microsoft connect site? I did all that and got the update next time I turned my xbox on. Also, just make sure you are IN the BETA.
