Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 ‘Shoutcaster’ mode

Thanks to the folks at ‘Gamesradar.com’, they have given us an insight to the new feature of one of this year’s blockbuster releases, ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’.  The new feature called ‘Shoutcasting’ which allows players to spectate matches using snazzy and unique interface that displays detailed map information, player stats, loadouts and scoreboards.

This information follows this week’s reveal of ‘Black Ops 2’ featuring ‘Live Streaming’ that would work in a very similar way to console recording equipment, apart from its all built in as part of the games features for your added convenience.  I’m sure it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, after all, the Call of Duty franchise is possibly the ultimate ‘Marmite’ game, but the ‘Shoutcasting’ and ‘Live Streaming’ certainly won’t make the game any worse that’s for sure.

‘Gamesradar’ got the opportunity to have hands on taste of the ‘Shoutcaster’ and this is what they had to say on their experience:

“Truth be told, we found it quite difficult to get a hang of the interface controls while trying to pay attention to everything that was happening in the match. Basically, don’t expect to pick it up and automatically have the skills of a professional sportscaster. That said, you’ll feel like you have an eagle-eye perspective over the whole multiplayer match thanks to the ability to swap between the map overlay, see where the action is, and drop right into the first-person perspective to see the action first-hand. But we can already tell, it will take some practice to be able to follow the action, call out the play-by-play, and navigate the interface while remaining entertaining at the same time. As it stands, Shoutcasting feels geared towards eSports professionals and the hardest of the hardcore competitive players, so we’re interested to see how the average Black Ops II player reacts to Shoutcasting when Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 releases on November 13.”

As I’m sure you’re all well aware by now, ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’ will be released worldwide on November 13^th.
