BORDERLANDS 2 SIR HAMMERLOCK DLC LAUNCHES, TRAILER AND COMPATIBILITY

BORDERLANDS 2 GETS NEW DLC TODAY 

Before you download the new Borderlands 2 DLC, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, you should also download the new compatibility pack. (You’ll be prompted automatically upon starting up.) However, there have been issues for some attempting to download it. Complaints have surfaced that the download process freezes before completion. Gearbox is aware of the issue and is working with Microsoft to resolve it.

We’re working with Microsoft to get the Compatibility Pack download error on Xbox 360 addressed ASAP — will share updates here as we can.

In the meantime, the Gear Up Weekend event has been extended to compensate for delay, according to OXM.

UPDATE:  No, the level cap increase did not come with this DLC, but Gearbox maintains it is still happening, coming sometime soon (“Q1 2013″). (via VG24/7)
