Blast From The Past With ‘ArcadeCraft’

Before we start, the older gamers that read this site may remember gaming titles such as ‘Theme Park’ and ‘Theme Hospital’. If you don’t remember these or know the gist of the plot, can I advise that you google or youtube both games to get the idea of the game. (Or maybe just youtube it for us older gamers for the pure nostalgia.) Anyway, back to the article.

Firebase Industries have announced Arcadecraft. A new management style simulator that is making it’s way to XBLA. I have to admit, when I first saw the title and the images (below) I thought it was another attempt at the ‘Game Room’ microsoft had a couple of years back (a good idea done wrong IMO), but looking into it, I can see it’s more than that and alot better than that. You play as your avatar running a gaming arcade, you will need to purchase various gaming cabinets to attract and gain customer loyalty while managing prices and difficulties of the machines to gain regulars.

Now you can see why I made the reference to the ‘Theme’ games at the start of this article. Arcadecraft seems to be going along the same idea as those amazing titles. Unfortunately, there isn’t a confirmed release date set at the moment, but Firebase are hoping to have the game completed by October, but I think I have already decided that this maybe a day one purchase for myself!
